Michael stared down the beach, across the silky sand and out over the vast body of water in front of him, thoughts turning over and over in his never-stopping mind.
"I can see what's happening."
"What?" Lincoln grunted, turning to look at his younger brother.
"And they don't have a clue." He mused, his gaze now moving to LJ and his girlfriend, who were farther down on the Panamanian beach, speaking quietly with their heads together.
"Who?" Lincoln demanded, confused. He hated it when Michael did this.
Michael nodded down the beach towards the couple. "They'll fall in love, and here's the bottom line; our trio's down to two." Realization dawned on Lincoln's face and he, too, watched his son from afar. LJ and Ana had been dating for a few months, and although his nephew had insisted that it was just a summer thing, Michael could recognize the signs of love when he saw them. And, apparently, Lincoln could too.
Ana had stayed for dinner after finishing her shift at the scuba shop, and now the four were hanging out on the small beach that was practically the brothers' backyard in the last little twinkle of evening light.
Michael leant back, resting his weight on his palms as he braced himself on the log. Eventually, his thoughts started to travel from his brain to his mouth. "The sweet caress of twilight; there's magic everywhere. And with all this romantic atmosphere-"
"Disaster's in the air." Lincoln interrupted, his brow creasing in disapproval. Michael shook his head, refusing to believe that. He scooted slightly closer to Linc and rested his head on his older brother's shoulder, whispering,
"Can you feel the love tonight?"
This is just something silly. Please dont take offense.
